Job title: Sr. Human Resource Business Partner
About the Role Senior HR Business Partner overseeing a 3,000-associate business unit, including an 850-associate segment across six locations focused on Risk Management and Property & Casualty insurance. This role balances operational HR execution with strategic program development and process innovation, partnering with leadership to deliver talent and organizational effectiveness.
What You'll Do
- Foster partnerships with key stakeholders in the business and identify and implement strategic human capital solutions that support the current and future needs of the business.
- Implement Talent Management rigor across internal departments resulting in development plans, reduced performance issues and development of high potential/high performing talent resulting in increased performance.
- Provide strategic HR support to leadership.
- Develop succession plans and skills gap analysis, ensuring that they are consistently reviewed and effective actions are in place.
- Drive development of HR related strategies and ensure implementation and execution.
- Partner with managers and Associates at all levels to ensure accurate interpretation of Company policies and procedures.
- Provide advice and guidance on disciplinary actions and Associate relations, including investigation and Performance Improvement Plan(s).
- Ensure that performance appraisals are conducted in accordance with Company policy.
- Maintain knowledge of progressive HR practices, trends and data points to drive enhancements.
- Keep up to date on legal trends and compliance.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business-Related Field preferred.
- 10+ years as an HR Business Partner in a multi-state environment.
- PHR, SPHR and/or related certification and/or designation.
- Solid knowledge of state and federal laws.
- Ability to communicate and influence individuals and groups to gain buy-in and acceptance of new ideas and approaches.
- Proficiency using Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience using a variety of HR systems and tools.
- Must be able to prioritize a heavy workload with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
- Must be trustworthy and handle highly confidential information with the utmost care and discretion.
- Ability and willingness to travel by car and aircraft (up to 25%).
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $125,000-$175,000 per year.
