Job title: Sr. Forward Deployed Engineer - Financial Services
About the Role As a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) you will work with customers to build and productionize solutions to their data and AI challenges using the Databricks platform. You will own the architecture, lead design decisions, and implement end-to-end systems spanning data engineering, AI, and application development. We work cross-functionally to shape long-term strategic priorities and initiatives alongside engineering, product, and developer relations.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with customers to design, build, and productionize data and AI solutions on the Databricks platform.
- Own the architecture, lead design decisions, and implement end-to-end systems spanning data engineering, AI, and application development.
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and developer relations to shape long-term strategic priorities.
- Deliver with customer empathy, integrate with client systems, provide training, and ensure customers get maximum value from their data.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in customer-facing engineering roles, preferably as Forward Deployed Engineer or similar.
- Ability to own architecture, lead design decisions, and implement end-to-end data/AI solutions.
- Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, developer relations).
- Aptitude for customer empathy, training, and helping customers derive maximum value from the Databricks platform.
- Familiarity with data engineering, AI, and application development workflows.
Nice to Have
- Experience with the Databricks platform.
