About the Role Senior Buyer (m/w/d) – Production Materials OE at Dana Neu-Ulm. You will develop and implement category strategies, manage the global supplier base and drive cost optimization to secure competitive offers and favorable total cost of ownership.
What You'll Do
- Strategy development and implementation for assigned categories with consideration of global supplier base and purchasing volumes.
- Conduct RFQs and cost analyses to ensure competitive offers and TCO.
- Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, including price, quality and delivery terms, and risk mitigation.
- Supplier selection and evaluation in cross-functional teams.
- Initiation and execution of cost reduction initiatives in line with global and regional targets.
- Monitor and report supplier performance, savings projects and contract metrics.
- Process optimization and continuous improvement through Lean methods, benchmarking and value analysis (VA/VE).
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing or Engineering (Production/Manufacturing) or comparable qualification.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in strategic purchasing, ideally in an international environment.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in contract negotiations and supplier management.
- Negotiation-ready English language skills.
- Excellent SAP and MS-Office proficiency.
- Willingness to travel.
