Job title: Sr. Director Marketing Southern Europe
About the Role
The Sr. Director of Marketing for Southern Europe will lead Tinder's growth in Spain and Italy, owning the brand, campaigns, paid media investments, social media and partnerships for the region. The role will align with Tinder’s global vision while tailoring initiatives to resonant local audiences, and will sit at the core of the EMEA leadership team. The role can be based in Madrid or Milan.
What You'll Do

Develop and implement the marketing strategy for Spain and Italy.

Own and execute the regional marketing strategy; collaborate with EMEA leadership and global marketing teams to ensure alignment.

Localize Tinder’s brand narrative, ensuring relevance to youth culture and regional nuances.

Lead the Tinder community and event marketing strategy, driving meaningful connections with users.

Translate data into insights and draw marketing and business conclusions.

Align communication strategies with key stakeholders in the US and Europe.

Assist in creating and distributing content via paid media campaigns, partnerships, or influencers.

Monitor competitor activities and market trends to provide actionable insights for enhancing Tinder’s brand positioning in Southern Europe.

Team Leadership and Collaboration: collaborate with Integrated MarComms, manage a growing team with plans for expansion, and foster a collaborative environment within a matrix organization, partnering with Media, Partnerships, Social and Marketing Support.

Drive Tinder’s brand equity through innovative, culturally relevant campaigns and establish long‑lasting brand partnerships.

Market Insights and Strategy: stay ahead of cultural and market trends and use insights to develop impactful marketing strategies.

Execution Excellence: oversee content creation, media campaigns and project delivery in collaboration with external agencies; ensure consistent messaging across all touchpoints and translate strategic goals into actionable plans with measurable results.

What We're Looking For
-
Several years of experience managing marketing projects and budgets with at least 5 years of country leadership in marketing, ideally with direct-to-consumer brands in tech, fashion, streaming, or consumer goods.

Comfort building tailor-made strategies spanning creative marketing, business growth, media and product development.

Proven ability to manage and grow brand strategy within the pop culture and youth marketing space.

Experience working in a matrixed organization and leading cross-functional teams.

Cultural Fluency: deep understanding of youth culture and the regional nuances of Spain and Italy.

Native Spanish and/or Italian language skills; fluency in English is essential.

Leadership: ability to build, inspire and lead high‑performing teams; strong interpersonal communication with virtual and cross‑functional teams; experience in top talent and influencer management; strong conceptual and analytical capabilities with an agile, hands‑on approach.
