Senior Data Center IT Support Technician — Job #200047040
Location: Fayetteville, Georgia, USA Work arrangement: Fully on-site Employment: Full-time Travel: Up to 25% Pay: $34.13–$56.54/hour
Summary: Provides IT and hardware support within Microsoft data centers, maintaining secure workstations, servers, networking equipment, conference-room A/V systems, and device inventories.
Key responsibilities:
- Maintain and troubleshoot Secure Access Workstations (SAWs), laptops, servers, and other IT equipment.
- Manage device inventory, assignments, repairs, RMAs, and decommissioning.
- Perform hardware troubleshooting, component replacements, power cycles, rack/stack installations, and cable installation.
- Support servers, network devices, SANs, and Windows Server environments.
- Assist with data center infrastructure deployments and inventory/shipping operations.
- Ensure devices meet Microsoft's security and compliance requirements.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to perform physical data-center tasks such as standing, climbing stairs/ladders, and moving equipment.
Preferred: Technical college/CS background, CompTIA/Microsoft/network certifications, data-center experience, and experience with material-handling equipment.
