About the Role Databricks is seeking a Senior Product Counsel to provide practical legal guidance to the engineering and product management teams as we navigate evolving global laws and regulations in big data, including data privacy, data protection, and AI. This role reports to the Assistant General Counsel, Product. The impact is to demonstrate expertise in product counseling, data protection, marketing, and technology transactions, while acting as a versatile generalist able to learn new areas of law.
What You'll Do
- Provide product counseling and legal guidance to Databricks' engineering and product management teams on a wide range of product, privacy, and technology issues.
- Advise on data privacy, data protection, AI, marketing, and technology transactions to support product development and go-to-market initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, privacy, security, and compliance to ensure regulatory alignment and risk mitigation.
- Report to the Assistant General Counsel, Product and contribute to legal strategy for product initiatives.
- Help navigate rapidly evolving global laws and regulations in big data and AI.
