Job title: Sr. Controls/Electrical Systems Engineer

About the Role The Senior Controls/Electrical Systems Engineer will lead the electrical design and delivery for multiple projects across North America, including aftermarket and new-build work, driving standardization, automation, and digital engineering practices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and leverage Veralto Enterprise System (VES) tools to improve quality and accelerate delivery.

What You'll Do

  • Design and deliver custom electrical solutions for water treatment systems, ensuring cost-efficiency, manufacturability, and standardization.
  • Develop and review CAD drawings, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, BOMs, and technical documentation, including component selection and calculations.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and project requirements (scope, budget, timeline); support manufacturing and field installation with cross-functional teams.
  • Drive Lean / VES-based continuous improvement, standardization, and reusable assets while reducing rework and cycle times.
  • Leverage AI, automation, and digital tools to improve design efficiency, accuracy, and data integrity (e.g., automated drawings, component selection, validation).
  • Provide technical input to Sales, commissioning, and field teams; support testing/validation; maintain O&M documentation.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to cross-functional project delivery (design reviews, commissioning, troubleshooting).

What We're Looking For

  • BS Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree with a minimum of 7 years of professional experience.
  • Experience in control systems: machinery with fluid control systems.
  • Demonstrated professional experience using UL and CSA standards.
  • AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical software experience.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of Ethernet/IP and other communication protocols.
  • Knowledge of Smart I/O manifolds and Numatics.
  • Familiarity with PLC and HMI hardware specifications and selection; Allen-Bradley preferred.
  • Additional experience with design of steel frames to support electrical equipment.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems for BOM generation and ordering demand.
