About the role

The Senior Content Marketing Specialist builds the content that helps K-12 leaders choose Frontline. You’ll create the research, stories, and launch content that earn trust with district buyers and move them toward a conversation with our sales team, with a direct line to pipeline and closed/won revenue.

This role combines exceptional writing with strategic thinking and a researcher’s curiosity. You’ll connect the dots between the challenges facing K–12 leaders, emerging industry trends, customer insights, and Frontline’s expertise—turning those connections into compelling content that informs, engages, and inspires action.

You’ll help shape what we say, why it matters, and how it reaches the right audience. Working across Marketing and with partners throughout Frontline, you’ll develop content and lead thought leadership experiences that build credibility and support customers at every stage of their journey.

What you’ll do

  • Shape content strategy. Identify relevant topics, distinctive perspectives, and compelling stories that align audience needs with Frontline’s brand and business priorities.

  • Advance K‑12 Lens. Help lead and evolve this critical survey and thought leadership initiative, contributing to research planning, survey development, analysis, and storytelling. Translate findings into flagship reports and supporting content that extend their reach and value.

  • Lead webinar strategy and execution. Own the editorial direction and content development for Frontline’s webinar program, connecting timely K–12 topics, original research, and audience needs with brand and demand generation goals. Shape topics, session narratives, and discussion guides; recruit and prepare speakers; lead rehearsals; and facilitate or moderate engaging conversations. Partner with campaign and events teams on promotion, follow-up content, and performance measurement.

  • Bring a researcher’s mindset. Ask thoughtful questions, evaluate sources, interview subject matter experts, and uncover insights that give Frontline’s content depth and credibility.

  • Tie content to business goals. Work with campaign and growth marketing teams to plan content around pipeline and closed/won goals. For every major piece, know who it’s for, which stage of the buying journey it serves, and what we want the reader to do next.

  • Support product launches. Frontline is entering a period of rapid product releases. You’ll work with Product Marketing and Product to turn each launch into content districts can use, such as thought leadership assets, customer-facing explainers, webinars, and sales enablement pieces. You’ll keep our claims accurate and consistent as the product changes.

  • Create compelling content across formats. Develop research reports, articles, white papers, e-books, customer stories, webinar narratives, email content, and other assets tailored to specific audiences and channels.

  • Connect the dots across Frontline. Collaborate with Product Marketing, Corporate Communications, customer-facing teams, and subject matter experts to surface ideas and create a cohesive, relevant narrative.

  • Extend the value of major content investments. Translate research, webinars, and flagship pieces into multiple assets, giving strong ideas a longer life across campaigns and channels.

  • Measure what matters. Track how content contributes to pipeline, influenced and sourced opportunities, and closed/won deals, alongside engagement. Use the results to decide what to make more of, what to refresh, and what to stop.

  • Uphold editorial quality. Ensure content is accurate, clear, consistent with Frontline’s voice, and grounded in a strong understanding of K–12 audiences.

  • Learn from our customers and prospects. Talk directly with district leaders, customers, and our sales and customer-facing teams to understand what keeps them up at night, how they make buying decisions, and what they need to hear from us. Use what you learn to decide what we create, and to shape it so it reads like it was written by someone who has walked in their shoes.

  • What you’ll bring

  • Demonstrated experience in content marketing, editorial strategy, journalism, communications, or a related field, ideally within B2B technology or education.

  • A portfolio that demonstrates excellent writing, strategic thinking, and the ability to make complex topics clear and relevant.

  • Experience building content around a specific audience, ideally from customer interviews, research, or time spent working directly with buyers.

  • Experience supporting product or feature launches with content, or a clear way of thinking about how you would.

  • Experience translating original research, survey findings, or data into accessible stories and actionable insights.

  • Experience developing and leading webinars or virtual thought leadership programs, including content planning, speaker preparation, and confident live facilitation or moderation.

  • Strong interviewing, research, and analytical skills, including sound judgment about source quality and what the evidence supports.

  • An understanding of how content builds brand awareness, establishes authority, and contributes to demand generation.

  • The ability to manage projects from initial concept through publication and promotion, balancing competing priorities and stakeholder input.

  • A collaborative approach, intellectual curiosity, and confidence in proposing ideas and asking questions.

  • Familiarity with K–12 education and the challenges facing district leaders is a strong plus.

  • What success looks like

  • Your work helps Frontline become a trusted source of insight for K–12 leaders. K‑12 Lens continues to grow as a distinctive thought leadership platform, and Frontline’s webinars become a consistent source of relevant conversations, audience engagement, and demand. Across formats and channels, your work builds awareness, deepens engagement, and makes a measurable contribution to pipeline generation.
