Sr. Consolidations Accountant
We are partnering with a publicly traded organization seeking a Senior Consolidations Accountant to support financial reporting, consolidation activities, and regulatory reporting requirements. This role will work closely with accounting, finance, tax, treasury, and audit teams to deliver accurate financial information, support external reporting processes, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the accounting function.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead critical activities during the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entry preparation, account analysis, and management reporting support.
- Assist with the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements, including variance analysis and investigation of significant fluctuations.
- Support the development of earnings release schedules and other materials used in external financial reporting.
- Partner with Accounting, Finance, Tax, Treasury, and Internal Audit teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of reporting and compliance requirements.
- Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors by preparing supporting documentation, responding to inquiries, and facilitating audit procedures.
- Research and evaluate technical accounting matters under U.S. GAAP and communicate recommendations to management.
- Support internal control compliance efforts and perform analyses related to financial close and reporting activities.
- Participate in special projects involving acquisitions, organizational changes, and intercompany accounting matters.
- Assist with the preparation of footnotes, supporting schedules, and documentation related to quarterly and annual external reporting requirements.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

4+ years of accounting, consolidation, financial reporting, or public accounting experience.

Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and the ability to apply accounting guidance to complex business transactions.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving capabilities.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial reporting systems.

Experience supporting publicly traded companies or working within public accounting environments is preferred.

CPA or progress toward certification is a plus.
