About the Role Sr. Cloud Security Engineer responsible for driving cloud security initiatives, remediating vulnerabilities, ensuring regulatory/compliance standards, and mentoring engineers in a remote environment. What You'll Do
- Remediate vulnerabilities across cloud environments and ensure ongoing compliance with industry standards (NIST/HIPAA/PCI).
- Mentor and develop security-minded engineers; promote best practices across teams.
- Collaborate with DevOps and engineering to design and implement secure Azure-based architectures (Azure VNETs, Firewalls, AKS, ExpressRoute, VPNs, Bastion, Key Vault).
- Monitor and respond to security posture using tools like Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics.
- Participate in risk assessments, remediation planning, and security automation efforts. What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of cloud/infrastructure/security engineering with hands-on remediation experience.
- Familiarity with NIST/HIPAA/PCI and regulated industries; ability to translate requirements into technical controls.
- Strong experience with Azure platform and cloud security tooling.
- Technical certifications preferred.
- Experience with security tooling (Rapid7 InsightVM/InsightIDR, Wiz, Orca), CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab), and IaC (Terraform, ARM templates, Bicep). Nice to Have
- Additional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM).
- Experience with Cloudflare Enterprise, Delinea Secret Server, and other enterprise security solutions.
- Scripting and automation skills; knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $125,000 – $155,000 per year.
