About this role
Job Description
About the role
You'll own the configuration and advisement of the strategic direction of our Avature ecosystem along with other TA tools and technology. You'll work closely with the Technical Product Owner, Talent Acquisition leadership, and technology partners to turn business needs into clear requirements and sound platform decisions. As the subject matter expert for Avature and the connected TA technology landscape, you'll reduce delivery risk, minimize rework, and operate with a continuous improvement mentality.
What you'll do
-
Own end-to-end Avature configuration, including workflows, data model, forms, templates, permissions, communications, portals, and reporting.
-
Lead discovery workshops and stakeholder interviews to understand objectives, current-state processes, and pain points across the talent acquisition lifecycle.
-
Translate business needs into epics, features, and user stories with acceptance criteria. Design future-state process flows and solutions, weighing options for scalability, maintainability, and governance.
-
Design and support integrations with Workday, ServiceNow, and other TA tools, defining data mappings, field-level logic, and error handling.
-
Establish and enforce configuration governance, including standards, naming conventions, environment strategy, change control, and release management. Lead impact analysis for scope and change requests.
-
Lead data migration and data quality efforts, including mapping, transformation rules, validation, and reconciliation.
-
Deliver dashboards, KPIs, and analytics that give TA leadership visibility into pipeline, process, and data quality.
-
Develop test strategies and lead system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing before release. Evaluate vendor release notes and recommend adoption paths.
-
Design and champion self-service, automation, and AI-enabled solutions, such as intake agents and user deflection, that reduce manual effort for recruiters, hiring managers, and candidates.
-
Serve as Tier 3 escalation for Avature issues and partner with the vendor on support cases and enhancement requests.
-
Create documentation and training, and deliver administrator and end-user sessions.
-
What you'll bring
-
5+ years implementing and administering talent acquisition or enterprise business platforms, including 3+ years configuring Avature or a comparable enterprise ATS/CRM (for example Workday Recruiting, iCIMS, or Phenom).
-
Deep knowledge of TA processes: sourcing, CRM, requisitions, candidate management, onboarding handoff, and recruiting operations.
-
Demonstrated ability to independently configure complex workflows, data models, and permissions in a well-governed way.
-
Experience leading requirements gathering, process design, test scripting, and change control on complex initiatives.
-
Experience with HRIS and enterprise integrations (Workday preferred), data mapping, migration, and reporting.
-
Familiarity with agile delivery and tools such as Scrum, Jira, and ServiceNow.
-
Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and advise senior business and technology stakeholders.
-
Sound judgment in balancing configuration flexibility against governance, scalability, and technical debt.
-
Ability to manage multiple workstreams, work independently, and drive work to closure with urgency and tact.
-
Active Avature certifications, or willingness to earn them after joining.
-
Nice to have
-
Experience using AI tools to draft requirements, user stories, and test scripts, or building and governing AI-assisted automation.
