About this role

Sr. Associate Commercial Performance Analytics

ROLE SUMMARY

Commercial Analytics harnesses the power of data to drive robust analytical insights that inform some of Pfizer’s most critical business questions. With colleagues across the globe, the Commercial Analytics team’s rigorous analytical expertise is depended on as the compass for decision support across the enterprise. Our dynamic, exciting team of subject-matter experts comes from diverse backgrounds and experiences, including data science, commercial analytics, finance, market research, and consulting. As a team, we collaborate to turn data into meaningful insights that will have a direct impact on patients’ lives and the future of Pfizer as a data-driven organization.

We are seeking a Senior Associate, Commercial Performance Analytics to serve as a hands-on individual contributor within the Mexico Analytics Center (MAC), supporting the Specialty Care and Primary Care brand-aligned teams within Performance Analytics and Insights (PAI), part of Global Commercial Analytics (GCA). This role executes and maintains analytics solutions — datasets, dashboards, and reporting assets — that power commercial performance tracking, working from priorities and specifications defined by PAI leads and following established analytics frameworks.

Working closely with US-based PAI colleagues, the successful candidate will help maintain and continuously improve the commercial analytics and reporting ecosystem, applying SQL, Python, R, and related tools to build reliable, well-documented analytical outputs. This is a collaborative, detail-oriented role suited to someone who wants to build strong technical and analytical fundamentals while working alongside more senior analytics colleagues.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build, maintain, and execute analytics solutions using SQL, Python, R, and related tools, following established architectures and PAI-defined priorities.
  • Develop and maintain datasets, dashboards, and reporting assets that support commercial performance tracking, working within existing pipelines and documented specifications.
  • Integrate data from multiple internal and external sources into analytical datasets per defined requirements, escalating gaps or inconsistencies to senior colleagues.
  • Perform analyses on patient, HCP, payer, and commercial datasets using established statistical and quantitative methods to help identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Conduct data quality assessments, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure the accuracy and consistency of analytical outputs.
  • Translate analytical findings into clear, evidence-based summaries for review with PAI colleagues and brand-aligned stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with US-based PAI colleagues and brand-aligned analytics leads to confirm requirements, clarify priorities, and deliver against agreed timelines.
  • Support the standardization of commercial analytics and reporting processes by applying established best practices, tools, and documentation standards.
  • Contribute to the adoption of new data sources, automation, and AI-assisted analytical tools to improve the efficiency of existing workflows.

Communicate status, risks, and completion of deliverables clearly through email, meetings, and presentation materials, operating independently on well-defined tasks once proficient.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, data science, computer science, engineering, mathematics, economics, or a related quantitative field, or any other related field.
  • Successful candidates typically have at least 3 years of experience in commercial analytics, data analytics, or reporting, ideally within pharma, healthcare, or another regulated industry.
  • Working proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets.
  • Working proficiency in Python and/or R for data analysis, automation, or reporting workflows.
  • Experience building or maintaining dashboards and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Professional written and verbal English sufficient for routine collaboration with U.S.-based teams, with the ability to ask clarifying questions, confirm requirements, and summarize outcomes accurately.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working with patient, HCP, payer, or commercial pharmaceutical datasets.
  • Exposure to statistical or machine learning techniques applied to business problems.
  • Experience automating data pipelines or recurring analytics workflows.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted analytics or scripting tools.
  • Experience supporting U.S.-based or global commercial teams from a near-shore or offshore operating model.

Basic project management skills to help coordinate across data owners, PAI colleagues, and other stakeholders.

Breakthroughs that change patients’ lives

Research confirms what intuition tells us: that purpose-driven companies perform better, are more innovative, attract and retain the best people, and know how to unleash the power of those people. Pfizer’s purpose—Breakthroughs that change patients' lives—fuels everything we do and reflects our passion for building on our legacy as one of the greatest contributors of good to the world.

Each word in our purpose has meaning and reflects the value we strive to bring to patients and society:

“Breakthroughs” - These are the innovations, scientific and commercial, that we seek to deliver every day. All colleagues, regardless of role, level or location, strive for breakthroughs every day.

“Change” - We want to do more than simply improve patients’ medical conditions; we want to dramatically change their lives for the better.

“Patients’ lives” - We consider not only patients, but everyone they touch—including their families, caregivers, and friends—and everything they love to do. It’s an intentionally holistic view.

Our purpose ensures that patients remain at the center of all we do. We live our purpose by sourcing the best science in the world; partnering with others in the healthcare system to improve access to our medicines; using digital technologies to enhance our drug discovery and development, as well as patient outcomes; and leading the conversation to advocate for pro-innovation/pro-patient policies.

Every decision we make and every action we take is done with the patient in mind—and to nurture an environment where breakthroughs can thrive.
