This role will maintain accurate financial records, support timely close activities, and partner with cross-functional teams to address accounting needs. Oversee core components of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close cycle, including preparing and recording journal entries and maintaining supporting documentation. Reconcile balance sheet accounts, investigate variances, and resolve issues to ensure accuracy and completeness in financial reporting. Work closely with finance, operational leaders, and other business partners to address accounting questions and support day-to-day business activities. Prepare schedules and documentation for audit requests and provide clear explanations for accounting treatments during internal and external reviews. Recommend and implement improvements that strengthen accounting workflows, internal controls, and overall efficiency, including support for automation efforts. Apply accounting policies consistently and assist in interpreting procedures for transactions and reporting matters. Offer day-to-day guidance to less experienced accounting team members and help promote best practices across the department. Support general ledger maintenance and bank or account reconciliation activities to ensure reliable financial data.
