About the Role Skyworks is seeking a skilled SQL Developer to design, develop, optimize, and maintain SQL-based data solutions that support business reporting, analytics, and operational systems. The ideal candidate will work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and application teams to deliver reliable, high-quality data and scalable data models.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and functions to support analytics and reporting needs.
  • Optimize SQL performance through indexing, query tuning, and execution plan analysis.
  • Develop and maintain data models and database schemas to support analytics requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems.
  • Support ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines with data engineering teams.
  • Perform code reviews and enforce SQL development best practices.
  • Troubleshoot data quality, performance, and production issues.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for database objects and processes.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of hands-on experience as a SQL Developer or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL (T-SQL, PL/SQL, or ANSI SQL).
  • Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling concepts (star/snowflake schemas, normalization).
  • Experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, DevOps).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting analytics or BI environments.
  • Familiarity with ETL tools (SSIS, Alteryx, Knime, etc.).
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure SQL, Snowflake, AWS, Fabric, Databricks).
  • Knowledge of Python or another scripting language.
  • Exposure to reporting and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience working with large-scale or enterprise data environments.
