Job Profile

Position details

Purpose: To enhance the existing risk reporting data warehouses, tools and technologies.

Responsibilities will include:

Contribute to the design and development of efficient data models, schemas and pipelines
Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures and functions to extract, transform and load data
Optimize query performance to ensure data integrity and consistency
Providing database technology subject matter expertise, collaborating with risk stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Implement data security measures and access controls aligned with firm’s governance policies
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines; identify performance bottlenecks and implement solutions
Participate in code reviews and document change made in the required format
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment and monitoring of data solutions

Bachelors’ Degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Experience in the financial services or banking industry is preferred.
Essential
Advanced proficiency in SQL including stored procedures, views, triggers and functions
Solid knowledge of data warehousing principles, dimensional modelling and star schema design
Experience working with large data warehouses including performance tuning, query optimization and execution plan analysis
Familiarity with data integration tools (SSIS, ADF) and techniques (ELT, ETL)
Strong handon SSIS development experience.
Hands-on experience with reporting tools such as SSRS and Power BI.
Preferred
Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. Python, Powershell) for data processing and automation
Experience of working with risk systems within a financial institution
Experience with multiple database platforms e.g. SQL Server, Oracle and SnowFlake
Experience of using Control-M or similar orchestration tools
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

Personal Requirements:

Candidates from Banking firm or asscoiated with banking projects will be considered.
