Job title: Sports Ops Workers (Student Position)
About the Role The Sports Ops Worker on UIW's campus supports intramural and club sport events and promotions, creating a fun yet safe environment for participants. This student position assists with promotions, scorekeeping, officiating, as well as setup and cleanup for events, reporting to the Assistant Director of Sports and Wellness.
What You'll Do
- Provide an atmosphere of fun in a competitive, yet safe, environment.
- Implement Intramural Sports policies and playing rules to maintain control, fairness, and safety.
- Maintain a positive on-site attitude and continuously improve officiating and operating skills.
- Set up and run Club Sport home games and events.
- Operate promotional tables and engage with UIW students to inform and invite participation in Intramural and Club Sport events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Good customer relations and service skills; working knowledge of sports and activities offered.
- Ability to implement Intramural Sports policies and playing rules to maintain appropriate control, fairness, and safety.
- Ability to maintain a positive on-site attitude; ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
- Adherence to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.
- Current UIW student (required).
- No prior work experience required.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in sports and wellness (preferred).
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $12.00 per hour (hourly).
- Hours up to 20 per week; events may occur during evenings and weekends; promotional tables occur during the day (11 AM – 1 PM).
- This position is a student, part-time role on campus.
