About the Role Dayton Children's Speech-Language Pathologists provide pediatric assessment and intervention, conducting thorough evaluations and implementing treatment plans with measurable goals. They collaborate with other professionals, communicate with families, monitor progress, and adjust plans as needed. The role requires active participation in department activities and aligns with hospital values; FT and PRN hours are available on the Dayton Children's Main Campus.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct pediatric assessments and deliver intervention strategies; carry out thorough evaluations and implement treatment plans with measurable goals/objectives.
  • Coordinate with other professionals to ensure care continuity and communicate treatment plans to caregivers and patients, involving them in goal setting.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as indicated; determine discharge or re-evaluation when appropriate.
  • Participate in department activities, attend meetings, and engage in quality assurance/performance improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrate Dayton Children's hospital values in daily work and interactions.

What We're Looking For

  • Masters degree in Speech Pathology (Required)
  • Active Ohio Speech-Language Pathology license; licensure with Ohio Board of Speech-Language and Audiology; license with Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board
  • Availability for full-time and PRN hours on-site at Dayton Children's Main Campus
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams; commitment to quality assurance and performance improvement
