Job title: Speech-Language Pathologist (Middle & High School)
About the Role This is a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist position serving middle and high school students in Lake Station, Indiana, with a focus on life skills classrooms. The role involves evaluating, planning, and providing SLP services, supporting AAC users, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to promote functional communication and independence.
What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive SLP evaluations and interpret results.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans aligned with educational goals.
- Provide direct and consultative services in individual and small group settings.
- Evaluate and support AAC systems; train staff on effective AAC use.
- Create functional therapy activities for classroom, community, and vocational settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary team; attend IEP meetings; complete progress reports; maintain compliant documentation.
- Participate in RTI initiatives and provide consultation for students with emerging needs.
What We're Looking For
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current Indiana SLP license (or eligibility).
- Indiana Department of Education certification (or ability to obtain) preferred.
- Experience with AAC and complex communication needs preferred but not required.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
- School-based experience preferred; Clinical Fellows and new grads encouraged to apply.
- Passion for helping students develop functional communication skills and meaningful progress.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $57,500–$70,000 annually.
