About the Role
The Speech Language Pathologist provides skilled evaluation, treatment, and individualized therapy services in inpatient therapy at Logan Health Medical Center in Kalispell, MT. This PRN (as-needed) role supports flexible coverage across weekdays, weekends, vacations, and unexpected absences to ensure consistent patient care.
What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive speech therapy evaluations addressing physical, cognitive, emotional, and environmental factors.
- Develop, implement, and revise individualized, goal-directed treatment plans.
- Provide therapeutic interventions in alignment with department standards and professional guidelines.
- Complete timely documentation—including evaluations, daily notes, and admission/discharge summaries—in accordance with payer and state practice requirements.
- Communicate patient progress and concerns to appropriate stakeholders promptly.
- Maintain SLP standards of care and adhere to all provider orders.
- Uphold patient rights, dignity, privacy, and cultural sensitivity during all interactions.
- Participate in departmental and organizational projects to enhance rehabilitation services.
- Meet established productivity expectations.
- Operate and maintain therapy equipment according to departmental standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned based on departmental needs.
What We're Looking For
- Current Montana Speech-Language Pathology license or graduate of an accredited SLP program with ability to obtain Montana licensure within 30 days of hire.
- Current HS AED CPR or BLS HCP certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Two (2) years of relevant experience preferred.
- Ability to connect to the internet for daily data exchange (as applicable).
- Strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively while handling confidential information with professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn additional software systems.
