About the Role The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine seeks a Speech Language Pathologist (.8 FTE) in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery in the ambulatory care unit. The role plans and administers speech language pathology evaluations, plans and implements treatment, documents care, utilizes support staff, and participates in special projects; there is travel between multiple office locations. What You'll Do
- Interact with the multidisciplinary team, which includes surgeons, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, nurse navigators, RNs, social workers, and dieticians
- Independently perform Videofluoroscopic Swallow Studies (MBSS), Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) exams, and videostroboscopic exams
- Manage an independent caseload of adults with voice and swallowing disorders using evidence-based evaluations and treatments
- Plan and administer speech language pathology evaluations, implement treatment, document provision of care, utilize support staff, and participate in special projects as designated
- Travel between different office locations What We're Looking For
- Proficiency with working in a multidisciplinary team setting and ability to communicate and relay information efficiently with the different members of the team
- Experience independently performing MBSS, FEES, and videostroboscopic exams
- Experience managing an independent caseload of adults with voice and swallowing disorders
