Specialist, Test Engineering

Overview

A specialist in Test Engineering based in Oulu, Finland, you will be part of the global Test Maintenance Engineering team. You will work with the latest RF and BB products and modern test technologies in an international environment. Your work will focus on ensuring production testing is stable, efficient, and capable of detecting manufacturing-related defects while supporting production quality, throughput, and delivery performance.

Responsibilities

• Act as Test Application Owner for assigned production test applications (software/hardware), ensuring production testing provides adequate coverage to detect manufacturing-related defects.
• Provide daily technical support to factories and repair sites for testing issues.
• Coordinate and implement test application changes with controlled rollout to factories and repair sites.
• Support failure investigations and root cause analyses of production testing issues in collaboration with factories, repair sites, quality, and R&D.
• Participate in product transfer projects by verifying testers, providing tester training, and offering on-site support if needed.

Requirements

Must-have:

• Experience with RF/baseband production functional testing or extended (system-level) production testing, including hardware/software interaction.
• Strong knowledge of RF and digital technologies and measurement techniques.
• Ability to drive improvements in test applications based on test logs, measurements, and test software source code.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in cross-functional and multicultural environments.
• Willingness to travel, if needed.

Nice-to-have:

• Ability to analyze, modify, and maintain source code in C, C#, and Python.

• Ability to analyze BTS logs and snapshots.

• Structured, quality-oriented, problem-solving working style.

• Experience with Boundary Scan.
