Job title: Specialist II, Technical Training

Join ASM as a Specialist II, Technical Training to deliver in-house training on ASM semiconductor equipment at the Global Training Center in Phoenix, Arizona. You will manage classrooms, maintain current product knowledge, and collaborate with course developers to create and improve training materials that support customer success.

What You'll Do

  • Present in-house technical training on ASM semiconductor equipment, focusing on specialized/custom courses.
  • Travel opportunities may be offered if desired but not required.
  • Manage classroom/lab activities to ensure course objectives and safety procedures.
  • Maintain product knowledge to prepare and present defined product courses.
  • Assist Course Developers in maximizing training documentation efficiencies; create/augment documentation to fill gaps; evaluate students' performance.
  • Provide technical troubleshooting to assist with system repairs; ensure safety retrofits on training systems.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the Global Training Center (GTC) and its operations.
  • Provide feedback to determine future training opportunities and assist in presenting total training solutions for customer needs.
  • Support Course Developers in generating training materials for new and revised courses.
  • Revise day-to-day curriculum plans to support new technology upgrades and procedures.
  • Update the GTC training tracking system and Learning Management System.
  • Communicate with Business Units to obtain current product information for course updates; represent GTC at divisional meetings.

What We're Looking For

  • Technical Degree; BS strongly preferred, or equivalent on-the-job experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Ability to work on an overnight shift (7PM–7AM).
  • Military training experience is a plus.
  • Read and troubleshoot schematics.
  • Workmanship skills.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical systems skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Safely follow, validate, and redline operation and maintenance procedures.
  • Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
