About the Role The Specialist Data Architect will develop and maintain data architecture across data analytics platforms and applications, coordinating with architecture teams on data flow design, data modelling, and query performance optimization. The role focuses on building business information models to enable a connected data ecosystem and AI-enabled decision making. What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support business needs.
- Contribute to and enforce data standards, governance policies, and best practices.
- Design and manage metadata structures to enhance information retrieval and usability.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of the architecture, including principles, standards, and models.
- Evaluate and recommend technologies and tools that best fit solution requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement in the architecture by identifying opportunities for innovation and efficiency. What We're Looking For
- Education & Experience: Master’s degree with 4-6 years of experience in Computer Science, IT or related field; OR Bachelor’s degree with 6-8 years of experience in Computer Science, IT or related field; OR Diploma with 10-12 years of experience in Computer Science, IT or related field.
- Must-Have Skills: Data Modeling (conceptual, logical, physical); Metadata Management; Hands-on experience with big data technologies and platforms (Databricks, Apache Spark PySpark, SparkSQL); Data testing and data quality strategies; Performance tuning on big data processing. Nice to Have
- Experience with Graph technologies such as Stardog and Allegro
