About the Role The position partners with the Director of Bar Exam Preparation to develop, coordinate, and implement initiatives that aim to improve graduates’ bar passage rates. The Specialist, Bar Preparation delivers bar preparation programming and individualized support to online students and Flight Path Program participants, and may perform related duties as assigned. What You'll Do
- Develop and coordinate bar exam preparation programs and initiatives.
- Deliver bar prep programming and individualized support to online students and Flight Path Program participants.
- Track participation and outcomes across multiple student cohorts; manage and organize student data.
- Plan and implement programming across in-person and online delivery formats; balance concurrent responsibilities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to communicate effectively with diverse constituencies and resolve issues. What We're Looking For
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to the practice of law in at least one jurisdiction.
- Admission by examination in at least one jurisdiction.
- Experience teaching, coaching, supervising, or mentoring students or other emerging professionals.
- Ability to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Experience with online learning management systems and virtual advising platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; strong planning and project management skills.
- Detail-oriented with ability to manage student data and track outcomes across cohorts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint). Nice to Have
- Experience with programs and services designed to improve bar passage for law graduates.
- Experience supporting at-risk, non-traditional, or distance learners in a legal education context.
- Two years of experience in education or a bar review company in relevant roles.
- Familiarity with online/remote learning environments and LMS tools. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range not specified; Salary Grade 06, Salary Plan Professional Staff - SEIU.
- Hours per week: 40; Typical schedule Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
- Location: Main Campus, Cleveland State University.
