About the Role The Special Advisor for Higher Education is a part-time role that augments consulting teams by providing senior-level expertise and strategic guidance drawn from extensive experience in the higher education sector. The advisor supports both business development and client engagements by contributing thought leadership, shaping strategic recommendations, and helping ensure deliverables reflect sound policy and operational insight. As a trusted subject matter expert, the Special Advisor helps strengthen the quality, credibility, and impact of the firm’s higher education work.
What You'll Do
- Participate in client presentations and engage with engagement teams as needed
- Develop thought content and contribute strategic recommendations for higher education engagements
- Provide expert review of analyses and recommendations to ensure policy and operational insight
- Support business development and strengthen the credibility and impact of Baker Tilly’s higher education work
What We're Looking For
- Significant senior-level experience in the higher education sector
- Ability to contribute thought leadership, shape strategic recommendations, and translate analysis into actionable deliverables
- Strong collaboration with engagement teams and clients, with effective communication and policy/operational insight
- Track record of strengthening quality, credibility and impact of consulting work in higher education
