About the Role TransPerfect Connect is seeking Spanish bilinguals at all levels to become Over the Phone Interpreters. This remote role trains you to start your career path and serve as a key advocate for end clients by delivering accurate consecutive interpretations in Spanish and English.
What You'll Do
- Provide accurate Spanish-English consecutive interpretation for a variety of calls, including healthcare and financial contexts.
- Deliver clear, respectful communication for end clients and follow industry terms and protocols.
- Complete four weeks of remote/online training with a dedicated trainer, then progressively handle more challenging call types.
- Maintain high-quality customer service, adhere to work requirements, and support clients across multiple industries.
What We're Looking For
- Spanish-English bilingual with advanced English proficiency.
- Dominican ID, High School Diploma, and 1+ year of contact center experience.
- Reliable home office setup: 25 Mbps minimum internet speed, reliable internet provider, electricity contract (must share last invoice), power inverter or uninterruptible power source, and a quiet workspace with no distractions.
- Address within the city limits of Gran Santo Domingo.
- Willingness to learn industry-specific terms and participate in training to expand subject-matter knowledge.
Nice to Have
- Experience interpreting in healthcare or banking/financial services.
- Prior training or mentoring experience and comfort with rapid skill development.
