About the Role The Spacecraft Subsystem SME will provide technical leadership on spacecraft subsystems (power, avionics, communications, attitude control, thermal, and others) for aerospace programs based in El Segundo, CA. This role collaborates with systems engineering and project teams to ensure robust subsystem design, integration, and testing throughout the lifecycle. What You'll Do
- Provide subject matter expertise on spacecraft subsystems and interfaces.
- Support system design reviews, requirements allocation, and integration activities.
- Collaborate with engineers across disciplines to ensure mission success and on-time delivery.
- Support test planning, execution, and analysis for subsystems during DV/IV/FT phases. What We're Looking For
- Experience with spacecraft subsystems and systems engineering processes.
- Familiarity with spacecraft power, avionics, communications, attitude determination and control, and thermal management (as relevant).
- On-site in El Segundo, CA or willingness to relocate.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. Nice to Have
- DoD/spaceflight program experience.
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink or similar modeling tools.
