YOUR DAY TO DAY
Treatments and the Spa JourneyPerform massage treatments, body treatments, facials and nail care as offered on the spa menu, accurately and with care
Deliver tailored spa experiences by following the spa journey, ensuring standards are observed at every stage: reservation, arrival, treatment and departure
Greet every guest according to standards, using their names at all times, and invite them back upon departure
Check guest comfort during treatments by monitoring air temperature, lighting, sunlight and music levels, following the spa ambience procedures
Offer guests refreshments after their treatment
Know all available spa services
Maintain the highest level of discretion and privacy in every guest interaction
Deliver Regent’s service behaviours in daily operations, and strive to deliver luxury experiences that meet our guest satisfaction targets
Guest Experience
Create a spa environment and experience that distinguishes our brand and delivers superior service and value
Respond quickly to guest requests and concerns, applying service recovery guidelines to ensure the ultimate in guest comfort and satisfaction
Report any guest comments or concerns to the Spa Receptionist, Assistant Spa Manager or Director of Spa & Wellness as soon as convenient
Be a friendly face and helping hand to our guests
Preparation and Spa Readiness
Prepare and tidy treatment rooms before guests arrive and after each treatment, ensuring cleanliness, functionality and a complete set-up
Prepare assigned areas to standard, including treatment suites, public spaces and back-of-house items such as guest amenities and spa food and beverage offerings
Restock and reset the treatment room at the end of each shift, including emptying trash, transporting used linen to laundry, stocking linen shelves, sweeping the room and cleaning mirrors and sinks
Review daily bookings and any changes, check the next day’s bookings at the end of each day, and prepare accordingly
Check and maintain product supplies at the start and end of each day
Maintain adequate spa inventories and ensure facilities are ready to receive guests every single time
Teamwork
Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments
Participate in departmental practices such as operations briefings, and inventory and cost management initiatives, to understand the business direction and help achieve our goals
Respond to changes in spa operations as assigned by management
Pull together with colleagues for unexpected moments, and undertake other duties as assigned by the Assistant Spa Manager and Director of Spa & Wellness
Responsible Business
Keep our property safe and secure, and participate in hotel activities related to fire and life safety
Follow company safety, hygiene and infection control procedures
Wear your uniform with pride and maintain a smart, polished appearance
Accountabilities
Accurate, high-quality delivery of spa treatments and the full spa journey
Consistent, discreet and attentive guest service
Readiness and cleanliness of treatment rooms and assigned areas
Compliance with company policies, safety and hygiene standards
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
To thrive in this role and bring poise and precision to the guest journey, you'll need:
High school education, vocational certificate or equivalent
1 to 2 years’ experience in a hotel spa (5-star hotel) or an international day spa
Skills in body treatments, beauty and facial therapy, and nail technician work
Therapist competency certificate (mandatory)
Ability to read and understand English; other languages desirable
This position is only open to Malaysian citizens, permanent residents and spouse visa holders with the legal right to work in Malaysia.
