Southeast Program Manager

About the Role Lead and manage the full lifecycle of Motorola Solutions Command Center projects in the Southeast region, delivering emergency call handling, NG911, and related public safety software deployments with a customer-centric approach. You will coordinate with customers, partners, and internal teams to ensure safe, reliable solutions and successful long-term partnerships. What You'll Do

• Follow PMBOK standards to manage end-to-end project lifecycle from Initiation through Closing.
• Develop and implement a Master Project Plan with defined charter, scope, and integrated change control.
• Maintain a high-level understanding of internal workflows to align projects with business objectives.
• Own the implementation, cutover, and hand-off to the Support team for emergency call handling projects.
• Create detailed project schedules (WBS) and lead regular scheduling status reviews.
• Manage the transition from legacy systems to NG911, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.
• Oversee budgeting and financial management including labor and capital expenditures, revenue recognition, margins, and cash flow.
• Perform ongoing risk assessment, maintain a Risk Register, and develop mitigation and recovery plans.
• Escalate issues and ensure QA compliance to Motorola Solutions’ standards.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, subcontractors, and cross-functional teams; nurture customer relationships.
• Facilitate project kick-offs, status meetings, and steering committee reviews.
• Collaborate with regional management and communicate effectively with peers and senior stakeholders. What We're Looking For
• Bachelor’s Degree or 5+ years of experience managing external customer-facing complex deployment programs and/or software deployments.
• PgMP, PMP, and/or CAPM certifications strongly desired.
• Experience with Public Safety communications systems is an asset.
• Proficient with project scheduling tools (Microsoft Project, Smartsheets, or similar) and building intricate master schedules.
• Strong customer focus, satisfaction, and long-term success orientation.
• Strong financial acumen with experience accelerating revenue and containing costs.
• Experience with project risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
• Self-motivated team player able to work with limited guidance; excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Must pass criminal background check and CJIS Security and Privacy Privileged Role certification requirements.
• Ability to collaborate with regional management and communicate with peers and senior stakeholders.
• Master’s Degree is an asset.
• Travel: ~50% within the Southeast; strong preference for candidates in the Southeast. Nice to Have

• Additional experience with Public Safety deployments or CJIS-related programs. Compensation & Benefits
• Salary range: $120,000 - $140,000 per year. USD.
• Travel approximately 50% within the Southeast region.
• Remote work options available; Southeast-based candidates preferred.
