Job Title: Sonologist / Sonographer

Location: Awka, Anambra

Employment Type: Full time

Working Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm

Job Description

• We are seeking a skilled and reliable Sonologist/Sonographer to provide ultrasound services at our facility in Awka, Anambra State.
• The ideal candidate will perform high-quality ultrasound examinations and support accurate diagnostics and excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform a range of ultrasound examinations (abdominal, obstetric, pelvic, soft tissue, and other relevant scans).
• Ensure proper patient preparation, positioning, and clear communication during procedures.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment according to standard operating procedures.
• Capture high-quality images and provide preliminary findings as required.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Adhere strictly to infection control, patient safety, and confidentiality protocols.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to support timely and accurate diagnosis.
• Ensure equipment cleanliness and report any technical issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Radiography, Medical Imaging, Ultrasonography, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Valid practicing license/registration with the relevant professional regulatory body in Nigeria (e.g., RRBN).
• Previous experience as a Sonologist/Sonographer in a diagnostic center or hospital is preferred.

Requirements & Skills:

• Strong technical knowledge of ultrasound techniques and equipment.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and good hand-eye coordination.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
• Ability to work independently and manage patient workflow efficiently.
• Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and professional standards.
