About this role
About the Role The Registered Diagnostic Sonographer performs ultrasound imaging, including but not limited to abdominal, small parts, and obstetrical studies, for adult and/or pediatric patients, to diagnose or treat disorders, and assists with needle procedures (biopsies, drainages, needle placements). May also perform vascular imaging as required. This role is based at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital as part of the BJC Health System Ultrasound Team. What You'll Do
- Perform ultrasound imaging examinations (abdominal, small parts, obstetrical) and ensure proper documentation of procedures.
- Ensure proper function and readiness of all equipment.
- Work independently and may perform on-call, portable exams, and studies at other sites as required by the work area.
- Assist with needle procedures (biopsies, drainages, needle placements).
