About the Role The Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer at Concord Hospital performs diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures under supervision and in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements to support patient care and interpretation by licensed providers.
What You'll Do
- Perform ultrasound imaging procedures within the scope of practice and department standards.
- Assess pertinent information, prepare and educate patients for procedures and expectations.
- Complete documentation of patient care and procedures.
- Demonstrate proficiency in utilization of hospital and departmental information systems and equipment operations.
- Maintain productivity, adaptability, flexibility and timeliness to meet patient and department needs.
- Adhere to department policies and safety protocols for modality-specific procedures.
- Actively engage in departmental meetings, modality meetings and committee initiatives.
- Complete hospital, departmental and professional requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts aligned with management and organizational goals.
What We're Looking For
- Education: Graduate of, or within six months of graduation, from a CAAHEP-accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program with JRC-DMS; or two-year allied health program prior to Sonography education (education preferred).
- Certification/Registration: Current ARDMS (US) or registry eligible, or ARRT (S) or eligible; BLS for Healthcare Providers from American Heart Association (or equivalent).
- Licensure: Licensed and Certified by the NH Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy; ARDMS certification required within 2 years of hire.
- Experience: None required.
Nice to Have
- Two-year allied health course prior to Diagnostic Medical Sonography education (preferred).
