About the Role Diehl Metering is seeking a Solutions Engineer to support the Italian market with pre-sales activities, technical contributions to offers, project execution, customer enablement, and Level 1- support for Italian customers. The role is based in Milano with hybrid working and involves collaboration with the Italian sales team and potentially regional activities across multiple countries. What You'll Do
- Pre-sales & Customer Engagement: Contributes to pre-sales activities through solution demonstrations, proof of concepts, participation in trade fairs and exhibitions, and direct customer interactions (visits and campus activities).
- Technical Contribution to Offers: Provides technical expertise for the design of offers, including technical recommendations and the preparation/translation of technical tender documentation in collaboration with the Tender Manager.
- Project Execution & Coordination: Ensures the coordination, deployment, and follow-up of projects, acting as the interface with local entities and ensuring proper execution of activities.
- Training & Customer Enablement: Trains customers and partners to enable their autonomy in using the solutions and maximizes their operational capabilities.
- Support & Service Supervision: Provides Level 1 technical support (particularly for Italian customers and partners), escalates complex issues to Level 2, and oversees the maintenance of solutions and services (excluding tender management and sales activities).
- Additional: Technical support for the local Italian sales team across the entire Diehl Metering SAS product portfolio; involvement in wider sales region possible (France, BENELUX, UK, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Latin America, etc.). What We're Looking For
- Languages: Italian; English; ideally French
- Education: Master’s degree (equivalent to Bac+5)
- Experience: 2 to 5 years in a similar position
- Software: Proficient in IT tools
- Specific skills:
- Good command of spelling and syntax
- Communicates effectively both on the phone and in public
- Good knowledge of DM products
- Proficient in project management tools
- Proficient in radio planning tools (solution planning engineer) Nice to Have
