Job title: Solutions Engineer - F5 Distributed Cloud
About the Role The Solutions Engineer (SE) is a sales and technical role within the XC Specialist sales organization at F5. You’ll partner with the sales team to demonstrate F5 Distributed Cloud capabilities, translate technical value into business outcomes, and help customers deploy secure, scalable cloud solutions.
What You'll Do
- Articulate the F5 product strategy, messaging, and positioning; communicate the value of F5 Distributed Cloud to meet customer objectives.
- Provide technical expertise through sales presentations, solution designs, demonstrations, and proofs of concept (in-person, virtual, or whiteboard sessions).
- Determine opportunity viability and map out organizational structure to identify decision makers.
- Drive the sales process with the Account Manager by identifying the Technical Decision Maker, obtaining technical validation and sponsorship.
- Deliver world-class customer service across the customer lifecycle.
- Collaborate with internal technical and sales teams to share best practices and bring the right expertise to opportunities.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of related industry experience.
- BS/BA or equivalent work experience.
- Familiarity or experience with F5 or similar industry solution deployments a plus.
- Relevant certifications a plus.
- Experience in secure cloud architectures in AWS, Azure, GCP or other public clouds.
- CI/CD experience (GitOps, Jenkins, etc.).
- Experience with multi-cloud design.
- Experience with cloud instrumentation and configuration management tools (GKE, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible).
- Experience with application-related products (DNS, load balancers, Web Application Firewalls, API security, CDN, etc.).
- Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Datadog, Grafana).
- Software development experience in Go, Python, Ruby, or scripting languages.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity/experience with F5 or similar industry solution deployment a plus.
- Relevant certifications a plus.
