Job title: Solutions Engineer, Account Management
About the Role D2L Solutions Engineer on the Account Management team helps customers maximize value from Brightspace and acts as a trusted advisor, combining instructional technology expertise with compelling demonstrations to address a range of educational needs.
What You'll Do
- Become a hands-on expert in the Brightspace platform, testing and validating solutions in practice and getting creative to find the right fit.
- Support the sales process by mastering D2L products, including functionality, usage, architecture, and deployment.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive, tailored product demonstrations to diverse audiences, from instructors to CIOs and HR/L&D professionals.
- Build compelling value-based presentations with the sales team and conduct needs analysis to uncover infrastructure gaps and potential customizations.
- Provide feedback to product management on use cases and field trends; create technical documentation for prospects.
- Be the conduit to engage internal SMEs in sales opportunities; attend sales meetings and conferences (travel 25-50%); work across North American hours (PST to EST).
- Engage in proposal writing: review client requirements, identify optimal product mix, address gaps, assess competitive alignment, and craft concise responses.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years' experience as a Brightspace user (administrator or instructor).
- Comfortable with other LMS platforms and integrations.
- Deep interest in education and educational technology; familiarity with LMS ecosystems.
- Ability to present complex education and technology concepts to diverse stakeholders; highly engaging in person and virtually.
- Excellent writing and comprehension skills; capable of professional remote work.
- Experience delivering against multiple objectives in an entrepreneurial environment with minimal supervision.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary CAD 65,000—80,000; annualized and determined by experience and location.
