As a Solution Architect, you will design system and shared components for digital banking solutions, ensuring they align with the overarching architecture and meet business, technical, and operational requirements. You will establish technical standards, guide delivery teams, and evaluate solution options across a Java and microservices environment.

What You’ll Do and How You’ll Succeed

Solution Design & Standards

• Design solutions for system and shared components used across multiple teams and squads.
• Ensure alignment with overarching architecture and organisational objectives.
• Develop guidelines and standards covering development, programming, collaboration flows, branching models, and APIs.
• Ensure solution standards address performance, security, fault tolerance, scalability, and integration.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with Business, Technical, Operations, and other stakeholders to define solutions.
• Evaluate technical options, including database approaches, and select appropriate solutions based on timeline and quality.
• Supervise and support technical teams when required.

Experience

• You have at least 7 years of experience in solution development, IT system deployment, and integration.

• You have at least 5 years of experience within the financial and banking sector.

• You have at least 5 years of experience in IT solution design and developing comprehensive solution architecture documentation.

• You have at least 5 years of experience applying microservices design principles, SOLID principles, and common design patterns.

• You have successfully led and completed the go‑live of at least one IT system development project as a Solution Architect.

• Technical Expertise

• You have experience with Spring Boot, Oracle RDB, Spring Batch, Maven, NPM, and JIRA.

• You have strong knowledge of microservices architecture.

• You have experience with Selenium and JMeter.

• You bring strong experience within the Java technology domain.

• Ways of Working

• You collaborate effectively across business, technical, and operational teams.

• You communicate clearly and document thoroughly.

• You supervise technical teams and provide guidance when required.

• You balance performance, security, scalability, and integration in solution design.
