We are looking for experienced Solution Architects to support business and technology change initiatives across the Group. The role is responsible for translating business requirements into practical, deliverable solutions that align with architecture principles, technology standards and strategic objectives.
Working closely with stakeholders, delivery teams, engineers and architects, you will provide architectural leadership from discovery through implementation, ensuring solutions are secure, resilient, supportable and aligned to long term technology direction.
Key Responsibilities

Work with business and technology stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into coherent end-to-end solution designs

Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture direction, agreed principles, standards and roadmaps

Produce clear architecture outputs covering applications, integration, data, infrastructure and security

Work closely with delivery teams throughout the lifecycle, providing direction and resolving design issues

Identify architecture risks, assumptions, dependencies and decisions early enough for them to be managed

Assess solution options and make pragmatic recommendations that balance business outcomes, delivery constraints, cost and long-term value

Make and document architecture decisions, ensuring trade-offs, risks and impacts are understood by stakeholders.

Support architecture governance and clearly present designs and decisions to the relevant forums

Ensure solutions meet required security, resilience, scalability, supportability and regulatory expectations

Work with internal teams, technology partners and suppliers where required

Skills and experience
-
Demonstrable experience as a Solution Architect delivering complex business and technology change initiatives
-
Proven ability to design and communicate end to end solutions across multiple technology domains
-
A good understanding of cloud platforms, integration, APIs, applications, data, infrastructure and security

Experience working with delivery teams from early discovery through implementation
-
Ability to balance strategic direction with practical delivery needs

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical decisions clearly to non-technical audiences

Experience of architecture governance and working within agreed principles and standards

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Insurance or wider financial services experience would be useful
-
Experience of relevant insurance, CRM, workflow or digital platforms would be an advantage
