About the Role Lazorpoint Solution Architects drive extraordinary outcomes for clients by designing secure, scalable technology solutions that align with business strategy and power long-term growth. This role focuses on pre-sales leadership, solution design, and close collaboration with internal teams to ensure successful delivery from discovery through early implementation.

What You'll Do

• Lead pre-sales efforts: Collaborate with Account Executives to understand client needs and craft solution strategies that align with business objectives; lead technical discovery sessions to assess requirements and desired outcomes.
• Design & Architecture: Develop robust solution architectures, proposals, and clear technical diagrams for infrastructure, cloud, security, and managed services offerings; ensure proposed solutions are scalable, secure, and cost-effective.
• Technical Expertise & Enablement: Stay current on emerging technologies and Lazorpoint’s service portfolio; serve as trusted advisor to clients and internal teams.
• Proposal Development: Create detailed Statements of Work (SOWs), pricing estimates, and supporting documentation; present solutions to clients with ROI and strategic impact.
• Collaboration & Strategy: Partner with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of pre-sales engineering; align technical strategies with broader company objectives.
• Handoff to Delivery: Work closely with delivery teams to ensure smooth transition from pre-sales to implementation; drive technical execution in early project phases by identifying risks, validating designs, and enforcing quality.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years in IT solution architecture, systems engineering, or pre-sales roles within a mature MSP or other relevant technology consulting environment.
• Experience delivering infrastructure projects and working with sales and engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of core infrastructure, networking, cloud platforms (Azure), cybersecurity, and managed services.
• Cloud Platforms: Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Networking: Cisco and Meraki routing/switching, SD-WAN.
• Cybersecurity: Firewalls (Meraki, Watchguard), endpoint protection, MFA.
• Infrastructure: VMware and Hyper-V virtualization, SAN/NAS storage, Windows Server.
• Modern Workplace: Microsoft 365, Teams, Intune (Microsoft Endpoint Manager).
• Scripting/Automation: PowerShell, basic DevOps concepts.
• Business Acumen: Ability to align technology solutions with business goals and articulate value to executive stakeholders; ability to serve as vCIO and vCTO.
• Communication: Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills; comfortable engaging with C-level executives; ability to break down complex concepts for non-technical audiences; ability to use AI but not rely on it to communicate with clients and internal teams.

Nice to Have

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect certification.
• Cisco CCNP certification.
• CompTIA Security+ or similar.
