About the Role Solution Architect for IT infrastructure and Cloud computing, reporting to the Manager of Solution Architecture. The SA will define end-to-end solution architectures for projects and collaborate with business leaders to align solutions with BRP's enterprise architecture while delivering secure, scalable, and resilient technology solutions within BRP's context. What You'll Do
- Define end-to-end solution architectures across Business, Application, Information, and Technology domains, integrating both IT and OT environments.
- Produce comprehensive Solution Architecture Documents aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
- Develop and implement infrastructure solutions to meet client needs, selecting compute, storage, network, and OT connectivity components.
- Design and deliver robust infrastructure architectures (on-prem, cloud, hybrid, and edge) with scalability, availability, and resiliency.
- Lead IT/OT architecture initiatives, ensuring secure and reliable integration while maintaining operational continuity and safety constraints.
- Partner with the organization to understand strategy and translate information systems solutions; estimate costs and prepare business cases for IT solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and governance throughout the solution lifecycle, ensuring alignment with architectural principles, standards, and roadmaps while enabling innovation and continuous improvement. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or related field, or equivalent project-related experience.
- Minimum of ten years of IT experience, with at least five years in information system design.
- Deep experience designing information solutions, with specialization in a factory IT infrastructure environment.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise networking, cybersecurity, identity management systems, backup and recovery, MES, plant-floor operations, high availability (24/7 uptime), real-time and low-latency requirements.
- In-depth experience with Edge computing in industrial environments and Asset lifecycle management (equipment, sensors, IoT devices).
- Knowledge of public cloud technologies (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) on Azure, GCP, and AWS.
- Knowledge of Agile methodology.
- Strategic business acumen and ability to design information systems to deliver organizational strategy.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to lay audiences; some board-level stakeholder experience.
- Team player with experience leading and collaborating cross-team to ensure successful delivery of solutions.
- Strong conceptual and analytical skills with outside-the-box problem-solving ability.
- Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture methodologies such as TOGAF with Archimate or equivalent.
- Bilingual (French & English); English required for negotiations with vendors and global stakeholders. Nice to Have
- Some experience working with board-level stakeholders.
