About the Role Responsible for defining and delivering architectural designs for new deals and major changes, providing thought leadership and guiding delivery teams to achieve scalable, reliable, and agile solutions. Focuses on enterprise-wide architecture, SOA/microservices, RFP responses, and ongoing technology strategy across the application portfolio. What You'll Do
- Develop architectural applications for the new deals and major change requests; create an enterprise-wide architecture that is scalable, reliable and manageable.
- Manage application assets and direct development efforts within the enterprise to improve solution delivery and agility.
- Guide how to construct and assemble application components and services to support solution architecture and development.
- Maintain the frameworks and artefacts used in the implementation of an application, with reference to the systematic architecture of the overall application portfolio.
- Drive application architecture paradigms such as service-oriented architecture (SOA) and microservices to enable agility and faster time to market.
- Provide solutions for RFPs received from clients and ensure overall design assurance; develop direction to manage the portfolio of to-be-solutions; analyze technology environment, client requirements to set collaboration architecture; create complete RFPs as needed.
- Provide technical leadership to design, development and implementation of custom solutions through thoughtful use of modern technology.
- Define and understand current state solutions and identify improvements, options & tradeoffs to define target state solutions.
- Clearly articulate and sell architectural targets, recommendations and reusable patterns; propose investment roadmaps.
- Evaluate and recommend solutions to integrate with the overall technology ecosystem; track industry trends and relate these to current and future IT needs.
- Provide technical and strategic inputs during the project planning phase in the form of technical architectural designs and recommendations.
- Account mining to find opportunities in existing clients.
- Collaborate with all relevant parties to review objectives and constraints of solutions and determine conformance with the Enterprise Architecture.
- Identify implementation risks and potential impacts.
- Create new revenue streams within applications as APIs that can be leveraged by clients.
- Bring knowledge of automation in application by embracing Agile and DevOps principles to reduce manual effort.
- Keep Up-to-date with the latest technologies in the market. What We're Looking For
- Experience in enterprise application architecture, SOA and microservices, with ability to guide solution design and development.
- Ability to analyze technology environments, client requirements, and standards to produce collaboration design frameworks and RFPs.
- Strong technical leadership for design, development, and implementation of custom solutions using modern technology.
- Proven ability to define current and target state solutions, articulate architectural targets, patterns, and investment roadmaps.
- Strong risk assessment, conformance review, and stakeholder management.
- Experience with API-driven revenue models and automation/DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of cloud concepts and ability to support cloud transformation discussions.
