Job title: Software System Engineer
About the Role OHB Czechspace is looking for a Software System Engineer to define, maintain, and validate the spacecraft software architecture and requirements, ensuring alignment with system-level needs across onboard and ground segments. The role encompasses elaboration of software system architecture and design for spacecraft onboard and ground segments, ensuring completeness and compliance of software requirements, and acting as the focal point for software releases and interfaces across all segments.
What You'll Do
- Define and maintain the spacecraft software architecture and develop the Software System Specification (SSS).
- Ensure traceability and consistency between software requirements and system-level interfaces; manage SCSW releases and software configuration.
- Coordinate across avionics, payload, and ground segments; act as technical focal point for all spacecraft software interfaces (Avionics - Payload, Spacecraft - Ground Segment).
- Propose and implement solutions to technical issues; perform software verification planning and strategy; support AIT and System Engineering from the software perspective.
- Ensure IT and cyber security considerations are integrated; support test campaigns and model integration.
What We're Looking For
- Master’s degree in software engineering, computer science, aerospace/systems engineering or a comparable technical field.
- Several years of professional experience in software development or software/system engineering; strong understanding of software development processes and agile methodologies; experience with CI tools and virtualization; good networking and issue-tracking knowledge.
- Solid understanding of system engineering approaches and their application in complex environments.
- Strong communication and teamwork, structured and analytical working style, able to work independently with ownership; fluent in English.
