Software Supervisor
Location: Hung Yen, Vietnam
Your Job
As a Software Supervisor, you will provide operational, technical, and people leadership for software solutions supporting manufacturing, production operations, and site digitalization initiatives at our Vietnam plant.
You will be the primary local software leader, ensuring the stability of production-critical applications while partnering with global Software Solution Group teams to deliver solutions that improve manufacturing efficiency, traceability, quality, and productivity.
This position combines functional supervision, technical coordination, stakeholder engagement, and production support leadership. The Software Solution Group delivers software capabilities that support product introduction, manufacturing execution, traceability, automation, data management, analytics, and operational excellence across Molex manufacturing sites worldwide.
At the Vietnam plant, you will help establish a strong local software presence, provide timely support to manufacturing operations, accelerate issue resolution, and drive the adoption of digital manufacturing solutions.
What You Will Do
- Lead local software operations and provide technical support for manufacturing and production systems.
- Coordinate local software engineers and collaborate with global software teams.
- Manage production incidents and troubleshoot software issues to minimize manufacturing downtime.
- Support development, deployment, validation, and stabilization of software solutions.
- Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Operations to identify and deliver improvement opportunities.
- Drive digital manufacturing initiatives, including traceability, automation, analytics, and operational reporting.
- Develop local software capabilities through coaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in software engineering, manufacturing systems, or industrial software.
- 2+ years of leadership, supervisory, technical lead, or project lead experience.
- Experience supporting business-critical production applications in manufacturing or operational environments.
- Hands-on experience with Python and databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Strong knowledge of software development, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Fluent English with strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems, traceability systems, or factory automation solutions.
- Experience supporting manufacturing test equipment, electrical interconnects, or automated test systems.
- Experience collaborating with global software development teams.
- Knowledge of Python, .NET, web applications, APIs, system integrations, or cloud technologies.
- Experience with manufacturing analytics, operational reporting, and data-driven decision-making.
- Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, DevSecOps, or software quality practices.
- Previous experience in electronics, cable assembly, connector manufacturing, or other industrial manufacturing environments
