About the Role GE Vernova is seeking a Software Specialist - SCADA/EMS/WAMS to drive post-sales customer success by implementing MES solutions, delivering technical services, and ensuring customer outcomes through collaboration with clients and internal teams in a digital-focused environment.
What You'll Do
- Contribute to the implementation of MES solutions utilizing the Software Suite.
- Own technical deliverables during the entire lifecycle of the projects.
- Engage throughout the full lifecycle of assigned projects, participating in decisions on architecture, design, and functionality to keep programs on track in terms of budget, time, and customer expectations.
- Work closely with the client to understand their needs and develop strategies tailored to their organization through site assessments.
- Also make standard recommendations on workflow, application, interface, reports, testing and uploads to customers through the implementation process.
- Be responsible for go-live readiness and post-live support, and will work collaboratively with internal team members and clients to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Develop conceptual knowledge of professional discipline and may include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.
- Apply general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience.
- Understand how work of own team contributes to the area.
- Resolve issues using established procedures.
- Consult supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside defined instructions/parameters.
- Collaborate with others to solve issues and, for customer-facing roles, develop strong customer relationships as the interface between customer and GE, exchanging technical information and checking for understanding.
What We're Looking For
- Required Qualifications: MTech/ME in Power System Engineering/Equivalent with minimum 0-3 years of experience in SCADA/EMS/DMS/WAMS systems.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
- Desired Characteristics: Strong oral and written communication skills; Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
