About the Role The Commercial Engineering Quality Assurance (QA) team at Canonical is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to help ensure the quality of Linux, PC, and IoT products. This office-based position is in Taipei, Taiwan, and focuses on collaborating with Canonical's engineering teams to deliver reliable software solutions.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with the Commercial Engineering QA team and other engineering groups to validate Canonical products across Linux, PC, and IoT platforms.
- Design and execute test plans and test cases; contribute to test automation where possible.
- Identify, document, and track defects; verify fixes and follow through to release.
- Help improve QA processes, standards, and best practices.
- Communicate issues and risks clearly with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in software quality assurance, preferably with Linux-based and hardware-related (PC/IoT) projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with test automation or scripting is a plus; willingness to learn.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
