Job title: Software QA Automation Engineer
Join our Client Engineering team as a Software QA Automation Engineer responsible for ensuring quality across UI and API layers for client projects. The role is based in Mexico with hybrid work arrangement across Ciudad de Mexico, Guadalajara, and Monterrey. You will leverage Java, Playwright, Selenium, and automation best practices to deliver robust test automation in Agile environments.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain automated UI tests using Java, Playwright (optional) and Selenium WebDriver.
- Design and execute API tests using Rest Assured; validate HTTP/REST, JSON/XML and web services.
- Perform data validation and backend testing using SQL.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and version control using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and Git.
- Work in Agile/Scrum teams; collaborate with Client Engineering and other stakeholders.
- Analyze test results, report defects, and contribute to test strategy.
What We're Looking For
- 4-8 years of professional software testing/QA experience.
- Strong programming skills in Java; solid understanding of automation best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright (optional) and Selenium WebDriver for UI automation.
- Expertise in API testing using Rest Assured.
- Good understanding of HTTP/REST, JSON/XML, and web services.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Azure DevOps, and version control using Git.
- Knowledge of SQL for data validation and backend testing.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Location preferences: Ciudad de Mexico, Guadalajara, Monterrey; hybrid work arrangement.
Nice to Have
- Playwright experience (optional).
