About the Role Motorola Solutions’ Software Project Manager will lead the development and implementation of our software products and services, coordinating cross-functional teams from inception through delivery. You’ll ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to defined quality standards while applying Six Sigma and project management methodologies to maximize effectiveness. What You'll Do
- Manage the development and/or implementation of Motorola Solutions products or services.
- Coordinate departmental or cross-functional teams, focused on delivering new or upgraded existing products or services.
- Manage projects from inception to completion (or transition), including tracking and evaluation of project performance.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and within accepted quality metrics.
- Participate in project review and status meetings, and communicate project status.
- Utilize Six Sigma and project management methodologies to ensure maximum project effectiveness.
- Motivate project team to ensure optimal performance.
- May assist in the development of business plans, strategies, and approaches to capitalize on business opportunities. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 8 years of experience as a Software Development Engineer, Software Manager, Project Manager, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex software projects, preferably in a New Product Introduction environment.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Experience managing geographically distributed teams is a plus.
- PMP or other relevant project management certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with Motorola Solutions products and technologies is a plus.
