About the Role The role sits within HARMAN’s Intelligent Cockpit SBU, Software Products organization, and is responsible for identifying, developing and progressing business opportunities for HARMAN software products (Ready Link Marketplace, OTA, Ready CQuence Loop and other future solutions for Software/AI-Defined and Connected vehicles). The role contributes to regional revenue growth and financial objectives through pipeline creation, opportunity qualification, and commercial execution in collaboration with Customer Account Management, Product, and Finance teams. What You'll Do
- Contribute to regional revenue, order intake, and growth targets by building, managing, and converting a qualified Software Products opportunity pipeline for a sub-region or cluster of customers.
- Discover and explore opportunities; locate and propose software product-related business deals by contacting potential customers and partners.
- Screen potential deals by analyzing strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials, evaluating options.
- Understand roadmap, value proposition, and architecture for Software Products solutions by working with product management, marketing, engineering, and delivery teams.
- Articulate user stories, value propositions, solution features, functions and capabilities, and other messaging for HARMAN Software Product solutions tailored to automotive customers and prospects.
- Drive opportunity progression from identification through deal shaping and close, coordinating with finance for alignment on margins and strategic objectives.
- Document, share and defend customer requirements from meetings and inputs; develop presentations, proposals, and other support material to close opportunities; support business case and pricing model development for customer proposals. What We're Looking For
- Extensive understanding of automotive connected vehicle solutions, including value propositions, architecture, business models, pricing strategies, and related details.
- Ability to articulate the business value of connected vehicle solutions in written and verbal form.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams to achieve business outcomes.
- Knowledge of major trends and technologies shaping the automotive future.
- Minimum 5-8 years of business development, sales or pre-sales experience with additional hands-on technical development of software and/or hardware.
- BS/BA degree required.
- Proficient in English and a regionally relevant language. Nice to Have
- Experience with software products or cloud services sales and/or business development.
- Experience and/or training in Solution Selling.
