About the Role Azure Storage team is chartered with building, managing, and running the persistent cloud storage for Microsoft Azure cloud. We are one of the foundational services of Azure Cloud and host data for the largest companies in the world alongside all of Microsoft's largest online businesses. What You'll Do
- Build, operate, and scale Azure Storage services to provide durable, highly available cloud storage for customers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable storage solutions and features at scale.
- Design, implement, test, and deploy components with a focus on performance, security, and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews, triage on-call incidents, and contribute to architecture decisions. What We're Looking For
- Strong software engineering experience with distributed systems and cloud-scale services.
- Proficiency in languages used for cloud infrastructure (e.g., C++, C#, Java, or Go) and a solid CS foundation.
- Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale storage systems; familiarity with data durability, replication, and consistency models.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving abilities; able to work across teams and time zones. Nice to Have
- Experience with Azure Storage or other cloud storage platforms.
- Knowledge of storage internals, durability, replication strategies, and disaster recovery.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; advanced degree preferred. Compensation & Benefits
