Software Engineer

About the Role The role is to design, test and maintain software programs for client deployments, ensuring 100% quality assurance. It involves understanding requirements, designing software solutions, investigating issues across the software development life cycle, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve performance and availability. What You'll Do

• Understand requirements and design of the product/software and translate them into feasible designs.
• Develop software solutions by studying information needs, system flow, data usage and work processes.
• Investigate problem areas and follow the software development life cycle; facilitate root cause analysis of system issues.
• Identify ideas to improve system performance and availability; analyze client requirements and convert them into feasible design.
• Collaborate with functional teams or systems analysts for detailed investigations into software requirements; confer with project managers to obtain information on software capabilities.
• Perform coding and ensure optimal software/module development; determine operational feasibility and evaluate requirements and proposed software.
• Develop and automate processes for software validation by designing and executing test cases, scenarios and usage cases.
• Modify software to fix errors, adapt to new hardware, improve performance, or upgrade interfaces.
• Analyze information to plan installation of new systems or modifications; ensure code is error-free and well-documented; maintain replication patterns and project documentation.
• Coordinate with the team on daily project status; provide feedback on usability and serviceability; document results and escalate quality risks to stakeholders.
• Provide timely status reporting and maintain a customer-focused approach; capture requirements and clarifications; solicit feedback to ensure on-time delivery; maintain professional client communication and documentation. What We're Looking For
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle, requirements analysis, and design.
• Hands-on coding and debugging skills; ability to modify software and fix errors; ensure quality and bug-free code.
• Experience in designing and executing test cases and software validation; automation where applicable.
• Proficiency in documentation, reporting, and clear communication with stakeholders; ability to coordinate with project managers and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to analyze client requirements, propose feasible designs, and collaborate with engineering staff on software-hardware interfaces and performance requirements.
• Commitment to ongoing learning and staying current with best practices and new programming languages.
• Familiarity with continuous integration, deployment and monitoring practices.
