Software Engineer

About the Role The purpose of this role is to design, test and maintain software programs for operating systems or applications that will be deployed at client sites, ensuring adherence to quality assurance parameters. This role involves understanding requirements, designing solutions, performing coding, validation, and maintaining software across the lifecycle to deliver reliable, scalable products. What You'll Do

• Instrumental in understanding the requirements and design of the product/software, and developing solutions by studying information needs, system flow, data usage and work processes.
• Investigate problem areas following the software development life cycle; facilitate root cause analysis and identify ideas to improve performance and availability.
• Analyze client requirements and convert them into feasible designs; collaborate with functional teams or systems analysts; confer with project managers to obtain information on software capabilities.
• Perform coding to ensure optimal software/module development; evaluate operational feasibility; develop and automate validation processes by designing test cases/scenarios/usage cases and executing them.
• Modify software to fix errors, adapt to new hardware, improve performance, or upgrade interfaces; plan installation of new systems or modifications; ensure code is error-free and well-tested.
• Prepare reports on project specifications, activities and status; maintain clear replication patterns and timely documentation; coordinate daily project status and provide feedback on usability and serviceability.
• Maintain strong customer focus through clear communication and timely responses; document solutions with flowcharts, diagrams, layouts, charts, code comments and detailed client-facing documentation.
• Ensure high-quality interactions with customers (email, fault reports, calls) and timely response to requests; aim for zero complaints. What We're Looking For
• Experience in software design, development, testing, debugging and the full software development lifecycle.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills; ability to translate client requirements into design and actionable development plans.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams, document and demonstrate solutions, and maintain formal reports for client proposals.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices, software validation, and quality assurance processes; willingness to learn new programming languages and best practices.
• Customer-focused mindset with the ability to manage expectations and deliver on time. Nice to Have
• Willingness to pursue continuing education, certifications, and learn new programming languages to stay current.
• Experience with documentation, user feedback loops, and cross-team collaboration.
